United Souls, the Snapper Music imprint dedicated to showcasing a glittering array of leading heritage soul artists continues honouring this legacy in the form of The Sound of Philadelphia - Volume 3: Love Is The Message.
Following on from 'The Sound of Philadelphia Volume 1 - Get On Board The Soul Train' and 'Vol 2 - Satisfaction Guaranteed', the third instalment, Vol 3 ‘Love Is The Message’ arrives in celebration of 50 years of Philadelphia International Records.
Containing 8 albums on CD and an exclusive 12” vinyl disc, these fantastic albums are presented with a booklet that tells the story of how the iconic label evolved in Philadelphia to become truly international. Sleeve notes were provided by personal accounts from writer Tony Cummings.
All music here is remastered from the original tapes courtesy of Sony Music, Kenny Gamble & Leon Huff who were personally involved with these anniversary collections.
Continuing where Volume 2 - Satisfaction Guaranteed left off this collection spans from 1973 to the early releases of 1975.
